SALT. issue 7 submissions: Heterophobia
'The fear becomes no longer how to escape the father, but how to account for that which has not named you, for which you have no name.’ Queer Influence, Aliza Shvarts, 2014.
Using language to forge new bloodlines SALT., in collaboration with Villa Design Group, is both calling out and attaching itself to continuing narratives which demolish the masquerade of heteronormativity.
We no longer wish to negotiate in keeping with our origins;
'we give no thanks.
no pleasantries nor apology.
no gratitude to those who hide in the safety of heterosexual language.
it is not a sanctuary.
there is no more space to move around there, only to hide.’ amifesto, K8 Hardy, LTTR: Positively Nasty, 2006.
